51 43 259 Removing and installing/replacing trim for rear roof pillar (D-pillar), left or right

Special tools required:
- 00 9 317 , see 00 9 317 TRIM PANEL WEDGE .
Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove C-pillar trim at bottom left/right, see Removing and installing/replacing trim on C-pillar at bottom left or right .
NOTE:
Work is described on the right side, left side is secured only by one expander rivet.
Release expander rivet (1) and (right side only) (2).
Release trim (5) with special tool 00 9 317 at clips (3).
IMPORTANT:
Risk of damage!
Carefully remove trim (5) to avoid damaging the roofliner.
Feed out belt (6).
Installation:
Mucket must overlap trim (5) along dashed line (4).
Installation:
If necessary, replace faulty clips (1).
