51 21 280 Removing and installing or replacing door stop on left or right front door

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Close door windows
Remove sound insulation in front area only, see 51 48 060 Removing and installing/replacing sound insulation in left or right front door .

NOTE: Secure front door against falling closed.

Lever out seal (1).

Unfasten screws (2 and 3).

Installation:

E60/E61 tightening torque:

(2) 51 21 9AZ , see 51 21 FRONT DOOR LOCKS HANDLES .

(3) 51 21 10AZ , see 51 21 FRONT DOOR LOCKS HANDLES .

E70 tightening torque:

(2) 51 21 3AZ , see 51 21 FRONT DOOR LOCKS HANDLES .

(3) 51 21 4AZ , see 51 21 FRONT DOOR LOCKS HANDLES .

Remove door brake (1) via cutout (2).

Installation:

Following parts of door retainer (3) must not be damaged:

Thread
