13 62 605 Replacing pulse generator on right exhaust camshaft (S65)

(cylinder bank 1 to 4)

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Read out fault memory of DME control unit; if necessary, work through test schedules
Switch off ignition
Release and raise coolant expansion tank. Do not kink hoses.
Remove right ignition coil cover

Release plug connector (1) and pull off.

Release screw.

Remove pulse generator (2).

Installation:

Aluminum screws must always be replaced.

Replace sealing ring and coat with antiseize agent.

Tightening torque, 13 62 5AZ . See 13 62 SENSORS (S65)
