Remove remnants of adhesive from roof shell.
Clean adhesive area with Isohexane.
Air drying time: ≥ 1 minute
IMPORTANT:
Adhesive area must be dry and free from dust and grease.
Once it has been cleaned, do not touch the adhesive area with bare hands.

Use 4 mm dia. butyl bead (see BMW Parts Service).
Overview of butyl bead laying on roof shell, front:
- Apply butylene bead with dia. 4 mm ±1 mm with a length of at least 40 mm in sheet metal bead.
- Apply butylene bead with dia. 4 mm ±1 mm above push pin bores.
- Apply butylene bead with dia. 4 mm ±1 mm with a length of 70 mm in center of flange to roof shell.
Installation:
Press seal with trim strip (1) firmly onto roof shell.
Align screw fastening point to thread in roof shell.
Installation:
Press seal onto butyl bead
Pop in seal in marked area (1).
Installation:
For optimum securing of seal (2), press down entire upper area with special tool 51 0 300.
If necessary, use plastic hammer and impact protection.
Check retraction depth of windows and adjust if necessary.
Carry out leak test .
