Section 203 (Clutch - Cooper S): Bleeding

Connect bleeder unit. See Fig 1. Pressure must not exceed 1 bar. Connect special tool (21 5 030) to slave cylinder and tighten down to stop (2). See Fig 2. Remove dust cap from bleeder valve. Connect collecting container and open valve (1). See Fig 3. Close bleeder valve as soon as there are no more bubbles in the brake fluid. Remove special tool (21 5 030) from slave cylinder. Reattach slave cylinder to transmission. Check free travel of clutch pedal. See Fig 4. Maximum free travel of pedal is 7-10 mm. Repeat operation if free travel is excessively long.
