52 17 205 Removing and installing/replacing both rear panels on left or right front seat backrest (long version)

Rear panel upper section: 

  1. Reach between rear panel and backrest cover and unclip rear panel upper section.
  2. Remove rear panel towards top.

Installation: 

Engage rear panel correctly in guide.

Retainers must not be damaged and must be preinstalled.

Unlock plug connections (1) and disconnect.

Detach wiring harness retainers from rear panel.

Replacement only: 

Release screws (1).

Remove monitor (2).

Unlock trim (3) with button and remove.

Rear panel trim lower section: 

Reach between rear panel and backrest cover and unclip rear panel lower section.

Installation: 

Retainers must not be damaged and must be preinstalled.

Only when replacing on passenger side: 

Unlock seat adjustment switch (1) and remove.
