51 47 030 Removing and installing/replacing rear (inside) left or right entrance cover strip (Security)

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove REAR SEAT .

Release screw (1) on entrance cover strip (2).

Attach special tool 00 9 341 at front under entrance cover strip (2).

Pull out entrance cover strip (2) forwards/downwards.

Lever out clips (1) with pliers (head of pliers surface-ground).

Cover strip is modified, new component changed.

Clips (1) are cut (see following work steps).

When replacing clips:

Cut clip in area (1) and rib (2).

Push clips (2) onto entrance cover strip (1).

Installation:

Following parts of entrance cover strip (1) must not be damaged or missing:

2 Clips
3 Retaining lug
4 Guides for clips
5 Bore
