52 13 023 Removing and installing / replacing drive for left or right active seat

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove FRONT SEAT
Remove seat cover for front seat. See REPLACING SEAT COVER FOR LEFT OR RIGHT FRONT SEAT (NORMAL/SEMI-ELECTRIC) , REPLACING SEAT COVER FOR LEFT OR RIGHT FRONT SEAT (NORMAL/ELECTRIC) , or REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING SEAT COVER FOR LEFT OR RIGHT FRONT SEAT (SPORT/ELECTRIC) .

Release bolts (1).

Tightening torque 52 10 6AZ .

Tip seat towards rear.

Unclip drive units (1) with supports on left and right from flex mat.

NOTE: If necessary, release clips (2). Remove drive units (1) from supports (3).

Feed drive units (1) through flex mat towards bottom.

Detach retaining points for drive in area (4).

Disconnect plug connection.

Remove drive (1).

NOTE: Drive unit forms a single unit and can only be replaced as complete unit.
