51 49 000 Removing and installing or replacing trim for rear lid

Open rear lid.

Lift out indicator light (1) at recesses (2), disconnect plug and remove indicator light (1).

Release rotary clip (3) and open flap (4).

Unclip switch for automatic rear lid actuation (1) in direction of arrow, disconnect plug connection and remove.

Lever out trim (1) for emergency unlocking of rear lid and push through trim (2).

Unclip holder (2) and remove flap (1) from trim (3).

Unclip trim (1) towards top.

Installation: 

Push clips (1) onto trim.

Release screws (1).

Partially unclip trims (1) and release screws (2).

Carefully feed out trim (1) in downwards direction and remove.

Remove warning triangle.

Replacement: 

Feed out retaining straps (1) from trim (2).

If necessary, remove insulating mat (3) from old trim and insert in new trim.
