51 24 300 Removing and installing or replacing left or right gas strut for trunk lid

For extended work without gas struts, move the rear lid into SERVICE POSITION .

Slide retaining spring downwards and lever out gas strut.
Installation:
Retaining springs must be correctly engaged.
