41 14 511 Rear Left Wheel Arch Complete Replacement (Rear Left Side Panel Removed)

Spot-weld bonding is used on this vehicle.

Observe relevant procedures in BODY, GENERAL .

Use only approved spot-welding apparatus for repairs!

Place vehicle on straightening bench.

Following new body parts are required:

1. Wheel arch, rear, inner half
2. Wheel arch, outer, rear
3. Reinforcement, side panel

Mark severance cut on side panel reinforcement in accordance with measurement a and cut.

A = approx. 290 mm

Open weld joints in areas (1).

Installation: 

Insert reinforcement plate at severance cut.

Apply window glass adhesive to cavity acoustic baffle (2).

Open weld joints in areas (1).

Open weld joints in areas (1) and (2).

Installation: 

Check reinforcement in area (3) with straightening attachment or universal mount.

MAG weld in area (2).

Installation: 

Version with panoramic glass sunroof only: 

Seal holes in areas (1) with adhesive tape.

Drill out holes (2) and (3) to 15 mm dia.

Press half a cartridge of structural foam into bore hole (2).

Press remainder into bore hole (3).

Use BMW structural foam 83 42 0 307 530 for filling.
