61 62 090 Removing and installing/replacing shaft bearing for rear window wiper (Touring)

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove REAR WINDOW WIPER ARM
Remove TRIM ON SHAFT BEARING

Secure rear window button (2) against falling down.

Release nut (1) and remove sealing ring underneath.

IMPORTANT:

Risk of water ingress. Always replaced micro-coated nut (1) and associated sealing ring. New sealing ring must not show any signs of damage.

Tightening torque 61 62 7AZ .

Release nut (1) and withdraw shaft bearing (2).

Installation:

Tighten nut (1) to specified torque, tightening torque 61 62 1AZ .
