51 16 268 Removing and installing lower rear console trim (long version)

Open drawer (1).

Reach into drawer opening (1) and press trim (2) towards rear out of retainers (3).

Disconnect all plug connections and remove trim (2).

Installation:

Retainers (3) and locators on rear console must not be damaged.

Replacement:

Modify AV connection socket . See 61 31 135 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING HEADPHONES CONNECTION SOCKET (LONG VERSION) .
Modify seat heating switches . See 61 31 091 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING SWITCH FOR LEFT OR RIGHT SEAT HEATING (REAR) .
Modify cigarette lighter inserts . See 61 34... REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING POWER SOCKET IN REAR STORAGE COMPARTMENT .
