Removal & Installation (Rear)

  1. Before proceeding, see AIR BAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS  . Disable air bag system. See DISABLING SYSTEM  under DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM. Pull up on front edge of rear seat cushion and disengage clips. Push seat cushion rearward and release seat cushion from rear brackets. Remove rear seat cushion from vehicle. Tilt rear seat back forward enough to remove headrests. Remove both headrests.
  2. Open tailgate. Unhook left and right retaining straps, and pull parcel shelf out of guides. Loosen bolt on rear seat back center bracket. Release clamp on center bracket, then release seat back from center bracket. Tilt seat back about 45 degrees to release from outer bracket. Remove seat back from vehicle.
  3. To install, reverse removal procedure. Activate air bag system. See ACTIVATING SYSTEM  under DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM.
