Removal & Installation

- Before proceeding, see AIR BAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS . Disable air bag system. See DISABLING SYSTEM under DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM. Remove 2 Torx screws from rear of steering wheel. Pull air bag module away from steering wheel, open connector lock, and disconnect air bag module connectors. Put air bag module in a secure area with trim pad (air bag) facing upward.
- To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten air bag module Torx screws to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Activate air bag system. See ACTIVATING SYSTEM under DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM.
