11 37 020 Removing and installing/replacing servomotor for eccentric shaft (N52K)

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

Remove accoutic cover

Remove ignition coils (1) next to the servomotor (2).

Detach the ignition wiring harness (3) from the cylinder head cover and place it to one side.

Unplug the plug connection (1) on the servomotor (2) and disconnect the plug.

Using a hexagon socket wrench (2) and reversible ratchet, turn the screw (2) to the right as indicated by the arrow. This releases the tension on the intermediate shaft.

Release the screw (1) beneath the servomotor

Tightening torque 11 37 3AZ .

Release screws (1).

Tightening torque 11 37 3AZ .

Turn the screw (1) to the left and remove the servomotor (2) by extracting it in the direction indicated by the arrow.

If necessary, detach the screws (1) and replace the seal (2).

Installation note: 

1. The gearing of the worm gear and the eccentric shaft must be greased with Long-Time PD 1 (4, 1).

Insert the servomotor (1) and turn the screw (2) to the right, continuing until the servomotor (1) is against the sealing flange.

Assemble engine.
