72 11 030 Removing And Installing/Replacing Front Left Or Right Seat Belt

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

WARNING: Read and comply with safety regulations  for handling airbag modules and pyrotechnical belt tensioners. . See 72 00 ... SAFETY REGULATIONS FOR HANDLING COMPONENTS WITH GAS GENERATORS .
Improper handling can lead to triggering of the pyrotechnical seat belt tensioner or side airbag, resulting in injuries.

Switch off ignition!

Release screw (1).

Installation: 

Tightening torque. See PARTS AND ACCESSORIES - TIGHTENING TORQUES - ALPINA .

Release screws (1) and remove belt guide (2).

Release screw (3) and remove belt (4).

Tightening torque. See PARTS AND ACCESSORIES - TIGHTENING TORQUES - ALPINA .

If necessary, release screws (5) and remove connecting plate for belt deflection fitting (6).

Tightening torque. See PARTS AND ACCESSORIES - TIGHTENING TORQUES - ALPINA .

Release screw (1).

Remove automatic reel (3).

Tightening torque. See PARTS AND ACCESSORIES - TIGHTENING TORQUES - ALPINA .

Installation: 

Coding (2) of automatic reel must be seated in opening of body.

Retaining screw (1) secures belt retractor.
