51 16 041 Removing And Installing/Replacing Cover Cap On Left Or Right Door Mirror

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove retaining ring on door mirror . See 51 16 045 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING RETAINING RING ON LEFT OR RIGHT DOOR MIRROR .

Fold door mirror (1) forwards.

Release screws (2).

Pull off cover cap (1) towards rear.

Installation:

Make sure cover cap (1) is correctly seated in areas (A and B).

Version with door mirror camera:

Release screw (1) and feed out holder (2).

Installation:

Small picture with view of rear.

Holder (2) must be correctly seated in guides (3).

Fold door mirror (1) back.

Lift cover cap (2) downwards over catch (3).

Feed cover cap (2) in direction of arrow out of door mirror (1).

NOTE: Cover cap (2) must be bent slightly during removal.
