51 42 300 Removing and Installing/Replacing Chest Strip (Chrome Strip) On Left or Right Rear Door (Without Roller Sun Blind)

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove rear door trim panel. See 51 42 000 REMOVING AND INSTALLING LEFT OR RIGHT REAR DOOR TRIM PANEL

Installation:

Observe distance of chest strip at front (1) and rear (2) to trim (3) of locking rod:

= 70 mm
= 110 mm

Pull rear chest strip (1) in direction of arrow off door trim (2).

Pull front chest strip (1) in direction of arrow off door trim (2).
