2. Light module (build date up to 09/2004)
3. Bowden cable
4. Speaker
5. Door wiring harness
6. Quick-release coupling grey 1.8 mm

   Quick-release coupling white 0.8 mm

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

• Remove rear function carrier  See 51 22 435 REMOVING AND INSTALLING FUNCTION CARRIER (WITH ROLLER SUN BLIND) ON LEFT OR RIGHT REAR DOOR 
• Remove control unit  See 61 35 224 REMOVING AND INSTALLING (REPLACING) CONTROL UNIT FOR LEFT OR RIGHT REAR DOOR
• Remove speaker  See 65 13 090 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING SPEAKER (MID-RANGE SPEAKER, DOOR AT REAR)
• If necessary, remove light module  See 63 99 491 REPLACING LIGHT MODULE FOR REAR LEFT OR RIGHT OUTSIDE DOOR HANDLE LIGHTING (UP TO 09/2004)

Version with roller sun blind: 

• Remove roller sun blind module  See 51 16 405 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING ROLLER SUN BLIND ON SIDE WINDOW OF LEFT OR RIGHT REAR DOOR 

Release clip.

Remove Bowden cable.

Press out quick-release couplings.

Installation: 

Make sure quick-release couplings are installed in correct position.
