51 16 040 Removing and Installing/Replacing Housing (Cover) On Left or Right Door Mirror

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove mirror glass See 51 16 026 REPLACING MIRROR GLASS

NOTE: The housing is secured without play by the four multitooth catches (2) in the clips (3).

Unlock catches (1 and 2) with a screwdriver.

Pull on housing and unlock all four clips (3) in succession.

Installation:

Replace all clips (3).

Catches (1) and guides (2) on housing (3) must not be damaged.
