11 66 000 Removing and Installing/Replacing Vacuum Pump (N73)

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

Pull off vacuum hose (1).

Release hose clamp on vacuum line (2) and detach towards top.

Release screws (3).

Remove vacuum pump (4) in direction of arrow.

Replace sealing ring (1) and secure with grease.

Drive (2) can be turned when removed and must be turned into the correct installation position prior to fitting.

Align drive of vacuum pump to groove (3).

Installation: 

Vacuum pump can best be installed when groove (3) is vertically aligned.

If vacuum pump cannot be installed, crank engine if necessary at central bolt into correct position.

Assemble engine.
