Removal & Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2005 BMW 545i and 2004 BMW 545i. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Move driver's seat completely back.
  2. Using Special Tool (00 9 317), drive bottom trim (1) towards rear and remove. See Fig 1.
  3. Remove screws (1). See Fig 2. Unclip trim for pedal assembly (3) at retaining points (2) in direction of arrow. Pull back trim for pedal assembly (3). Disconnect plug connections and remove trim for pedal assembly.
  4. To install, reverse removal procedure. Make sure bottom trim (1) is correctly seated at retaining points (2). See Fig 1. Feed bottom trim (1) correctly into trim for pedal assembly.
