Removal & Installation
WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 11 other vehicles, including the 2005 BMW 760i, 2005 BMW 760Li, 2005 BMW 745i, 2005 BMW 745Li, and 2004 BMW 760i. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- Apply pedal prop and depress brake pedal slightly. This prevents bake fluid from emerging from expansion tank and air from entering system when brake lines are opened.
- Disconnect brake hose from pipe. Grip brake hose at square head so connecting piece cannot turn in retaining bracket. Unfasten brake hose from brake caliper.
- To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten brake hose on brake caliper to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Move wheels into straight-ahead position. Insert brake hose in bracket and screw onto brake pipe. Never twist brake hose and avoid all contact with parts attached rigidly to body. Tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
