51 21 225 Removing and installing or replacing inside door opener in left or right front door

Press on point (A) of cover (1).

Tilt out cover (1) and release screw underneath.

Tightening torque 51 41 2AZ . See BODY EQUIPMENT - TIGHTENING TORQUES .

Door opener (3):

lever out at catch (1)
slide in direction of arrow (A)
lever out at catch (2)
feed out in direction of arrow (B)

Disconnect Bowden cable (1).

If necessary, unlock and detach LED (2).

Remove door opener (3).

Installation:

When fitting Bowden cable (1), do not tighten lever of door handle (3).

Installation:

Catches (1) for optical waveguide (2) must not be damaged.
