23 42 620 Replacing clutch valve (GS7S47BG SMG)

IMPORTANT:

It is essential to adhere to conditions of absolute cleanliness.

Any dirty parts must be cleaned before the clutch valve is loosened.

After completion of work, check HYDRAULIC OIL LEVEL .

Bleed clutch slave cylinder/hydraulic line.
Teach in characteristic clutch-valve values.
Teach in clutch slipping point (warranty).

Only use the approved hydraulic oil: Pentosin CHF11S (BMW part number 81 22 9 407 758, 1-litre can)

Failure to comply with this instruction will result in serious damage to hydraulic unit.

Necessary preliminary work:

Hydraulic pressure reduction (transmission/clutch)
Remove GEARBOX

Disconnect connector (1).

Unfasten screws (2).

Tightening torque: 2.9 Nm

Installation note:

Replace screws.

Force must be applied to remove the valve.

Pull clutch valve (1) out of pump block.

Installation note:

Observe installation position of valve.

IMPORTANT: Ensure that sealing rings (1) are present after clutch valve is removed.

Installation note:

Before installing clutch valve, moisten sealing rings with hydraulic fluid (Pentosin CHF11S, BMW part number 81 22 9 407 758, 1-litre can).

Installation note:

Replace sealing ring (1).

Before installing, moisten sealing ring with hydraulic fluid (Pentosin CHF11S, BMW part number 81 22 9 407 758, 1-litre can).

The sealing ring must not be shifted or damaged when installing the valve.

Before tightening the valve, ensure that it is positioned correctly.

Insert clutch valve (1) as far as possible and pull in with valve screws.

Tightening torque: 2.9 Nm
