51 37 000 Removing and installing/replacing complete rear left or right power window regulator

WARNING: Danger of injury!
Carry out work on the power window regulator only when the power window motor is deenergized.

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove SOUND INSULATION

Side window glass must be opened to dimension (A).

145 mm

Carefully unlock window glass mounting clips (1) in direction of arrow.

Gently press side window glass upwards to snap retaining lug (2) completely out of side window glass bore hole (3).

IMPORTANT: Risk of damage!
Do not bend mounting clips (1) too far.

Installation note:

Check retaining lug (2) is correctly seated in bore hole for door window glass (3).

Slide door window glass (1) fully upwards and fix in the window frame with adhesive tape (2).

Slacken bolt (1).

Tightening torque 51 35 11AZ .

Installation note:

Holder (2) must be correctly seated on inner door panel rail.

Unfasten screws (2).

Tightening torque 51 35 2AZ .

Unplug connector (1) from flat motor.

Maneuver out power window regulator (3).

Concluding tasks:

Observe NOTES ON INITIALIZING POWER WINDOW REGULATOR

Replacement:

Swap over FLAT MOTOR FOR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR .
