52 13 030 Removing and installing/replacing backrest frame on left or right front seat (TU)

Necessary Preliminary Tasks:
- Remove seat airbag. Refer to SIDE AIR BAG MODULES for model year 2002, or SIDE AIR BAG MODULES for model year 2003, or SIDE AIR BAG MODULES for model year 2004-05.
- Remove backrest cover. Refer to 52 13 405 REPLACING BACKREST COVER FOR LEFT OR RIGHT FRONT SEAT (TU) .
- Remove lumbar support. Refer to 52 13 055 REMOVING AND INSTALLING LUMBAR SUPPORT ON FRONT SEAT (TU) .
NOTE:
The right side is removed in the same way as the left side.
Detach welt (1) from seat frame.
Lever out clip (2).
Installation:
Replace faulty clip.
Release Torx screws (3).
Tightening torque, refer to 52 13 3AZ in SEATS - TIGHTENING TORQUES - COOPER (1.6L) R50/W10 .
Remove backrest frame (4).
