17 11 100 Removing And Installing/Replacing Coolant Expansion Tank (N52T)

Necessary preliminary work:

Drain COOLANT .
Remove right TRAILING LINK .

Slacken nut (1).

Release screw (2).

Remove heat shield (3).

Release screw (1).

Lay filler neck (2) for windscreen washer fluid to one side.

Unlock and detach coolant hose (1).

Unfasten screws (2).

Tightening torque: 17 10 2AZ .

Raise expansion tank (3)

Raise expansion tank (1) slightly.

Unlock plug (2) on coolant level switch and disconnect.

Unlock and detach coolant hose (3).

Lift out expansion tank (1).

Installation note:

Make sure guide (4) is correctly seated.

Assemble engine.

Top up COOLANT .

Check cooling system for LEAKS .
