17 11 035 Removing And Installing/Replacing Fan Cowl With Electric Fan (S63 B44 T 0)

Necessary preliminary work:
- Read out the fault memory of the DME control unit.
- Switch off ignition.
- Remove CROSS CONNECTION .
- Remove STIFFENING PLATE .
IMPORTANT:
Ensure that no coolant enter into the plug connection of the auxiliary coolant pump.
Check plug connection for coolant residues. If necessary, blow clean plug connection with compressed air.

Release screw (1).
Tightening torque: 17 10 3AZ .
Release holder (1) for auxiliary water pumps from fan cowl and module carrier to the top.
Unlock and pull off connector (1) and cable from fan cowl.
Release screws and clamps (2).
Tightening torque: 17 10 7AZ .
Remove fan cowl (3) towards top.
Installation note:
Insert retaining tab (1) at bottom on module carrier.
NOTE:
Check stored fault message.
Reassemble the vehicle.
Delete fault memory.
Reassemble the vehicle.
Delete fault memory.
