51 45 370 Removing and installing (replacing) left decorative strip on instrument panel

Special tools required: 

• 00 9 317  . See MAINTENANCE AND GENERAL INFORMATION - SPECIAL TOOLS -- S CLUBMAN .

Undo and remove screws (1) on the back of the rev counter (2). Pull the rev counter (2) rearwards.

Carefully unclip decorative strip (1) at fixing points (2) using special tool 00 9 317 and remove.

(Illustration shows rev counter removed for greater clarity.)

Installation note:  Make sure bolts are correctly located on decorative strip (1). If necessary, replace defective clips.

Pull the rev counter (1) rearwards. Remove decorative strip (2) upwards.
