Removal & Installation

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 7 other vehicles, including the 2008 MINI Cooper, 2007 MINI Cooper, 2006 MINI Cooper, 2005 MINI Cooper, and 2004 MINI Cooper. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

On vehicles built before 7/2004, release screws (1). Snap clips (2 and 3) out. Remove storage compartment from instrument panel trim. See Fig 1 .

Pull out storage compartment (1) in direction of arrow from retaining points (2). See Fig 2 .

Fold storage compartment (1) down and unclip guides (2) starting on right. During installation, clips (3) must not be damaged. If necessary, replace faulty clips. See Fig 3 .

During installation, locking pins (1) and guides (2) must not be damaged. See Fig 4 .
