34 31 181 Removing And Installing / Replacing Expansion Tank For Hydraulic Brake Control

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

NOTE:

Suck the brake fluid out of the expansion tank.

Use a suction bottle used exclusively for drawing off brake fluid.

Do not reuse drawn out brake fluid.

Unfasten plug connection (1) and disconnect.

Pull off supply hose (2) on clutch hydraulics.

Release screw (1) and lift off expansion tank.

Installation: 

Tightening torque 34 31 2AZ

IMPORTANT:

Check rubber plugs (1) in brake master cylinder for damage and replace if necessary.

Press expansion tank (2) vertically onto brake master cylinder.
