37 14 512 Replacing rear ride-height sensor

IMPORTANT: Observe safety instructions for raising the vehicle, see LIFTING VEHICLE WITH A LIFTING PLATFORM
NOTE:

Tightening torques:

  • Ride-height sensor holder on rear axle carrier: 7.6 Nm
  • Jointed rod to holder: 7.2 Nm
  • Holder to upper control arm: 6 Nm

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

Disconnect plug connection (1).

Release nut (2) and remove jointed rod from sensor lever (3).

Installation: 

Replace self-locking nut.

Sensor lever (3) must point from ride-height sensor to lower control arm.

Tightening torque: 7.2 Nm

Release screws (1) and remove ride-height sensor.

Installation: 

Tightening torque: 4.4 Nm

After installation:
