51 24 100 Removing and installing/replacing rear lid lock (lower section)

Necessary Preliminary Tasks: 

Version with manual unlocking: 

Lift out housing (1) downwards/upwards from rear lid lock (2).

Version with manual unlocking: 

Press mounting (2) outwards with screwdriver (1).

Turn housing (4) forwards and disconnect Bowden cable nipple (3) upwards.

NOTE: The work scope "Disconnecting Bowden cable for rear lid lock emergency unlocking" ends here.

Version with manual unlocking: 

Disconnect plug connection (1).

Release screws (2) and remove rear lid lock (3).

Installation: 

Adjust rear lid lock. Refer to 51 24 004 ADJUSTING REAR LID LOCK .

Version without manual unlocking: 

Disconnect plug connection (2).

Release screws (1) and remove rear lid lock.

Installation: 

Adjust rear lid lock. Refer to 51 24 004 ADJUSTING REAR LID LOCK .
