63 10 004 Adjusting headlights

NOTE:

For Special Tool identification, see LIGHTS - SPECIAL TOOLS - COOPER (1.6L) R50/W1 .

Special Tools Required: 

NOTE: Comply with test preconditions for headlight adjustment. Refer to 63 10 ... TEST REQUIREMENTS FOR HEADLIGHT VERTICAL AIM ADJUSTMENT .
NOTE: Illustrations show the right headlight.

Adjust headlights at adjusting screws (1) and (2).

  1. Adjusting screw for vertical aiming.
  2. Adjusting screw for lateral aiming.

Open hood/bonnet.

Attach special tool 63 2 100 to adjusting screw (1).

Lock special tool 63 2 100 by pushing in direction of arrow on adjusting screw (1).

Close hood/bonnet and make sure special tool 63 2 100 is correctly laid between hood/bonnet and wheel arch trim (3).

Adjust headlight by turning special tool 63 2 100.

NOTE: Secure knurled wheel (1) when turning special tool 63 2 100.
