51 16 217 Replacing rear center console

Necessary Preliminary Tasks:

Build date up to 07/2004:

Remove RDW switch (1). Release screws (2) securing switches for front seat heating (depending on equipment specification).

Remove clips (3) from console.

Build date from 07/2004:

Depending on equipment specification, remove switches (1) or trims (1).

Remove clips (2) from console.

Release catches (3) on trim ring and remove trim ring.

Installation:

If necessary, replace clips (2).

Installation:

Catches (1) on trim ring (2) must not be damaged.
