54 12 004 Adjusting sunroof

NOTE: The following process is to adjust the complete sunroof module to the body roof aperture.

Release headliner. Refer to 51 44 011 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING HEADLINER (WITH SLIDE/TILT SUNROOF) .

NOTE: The headliner only needs to be released and not removed from the vehicle.

Front seats do not need to be removed.

Loosen 9 tolerance compensators (1).

Tightening torque, refer to 54 12 1AZ in SLIDE/TILT ROOF AND CONVERTIBLE TOP - TIGHTENING TORQUES - COOPER (1.6L) R50/W10 .

Loosen bolts (1).

Tightening torque, refer to 54 12 2AZ in SLIDE/TILT ROOF AND CONVERTIBLE TOP - TIGHTENING TORQUES - COOPER (1.6L) R50/W10 .

Adjust height adjusters (1) to profile the sunroof.

Sunroof height to body:

Front - Flush to 1 mm deeper.

Rear - Flush to 1 mm higher.

Measure height of sunroof to body, at points (1).

Measurement (2) = 300 mm.
