51 16 392 Removing and installing/replacing storage compartment in instrument panel trim (driver's side)

Necessary Preliminary Tasks:

R50/R53 Up To 07/2004 Only:

Release screws (1).

Snap clips (2 and 3) out.

Remove storage compartment from instrument panel trim.

Pull out storage compartment (1) in direction of arrow from retaining points (2).

Fold storage compartment (1) down and unclip guides (2) starting on right.

Installation:

Clips (3) must not be damaged.

If necessary, replace faulty clips (3).

Installation:

Locking pins (1) and guides (2) must not be damaged.
