Disc Pads (Rear): Inspection
Clean, but do not grease, guide screws. Check threads. Replace all guide screws that are not in perfect condition. Check dust sleeve for damage and replace if necessary. Clean contact faces of brake piston and apply a thin coating of anti-squeak compound. See Fig 1. Ensure dust sleeve does not contact anti-squeak compound as this would cause dust sleeve to swell. Clean contact faces of hammer heads/brake caliper housing and coat with anti-squeak compound. See Figure. Clean contact faces of brake caliper and apply a thin coating of anti-squeak compound. See Figure. Clean brake caliper mounting bracket at hammer head guides and apply a thin coating of anti-squeak compound. See Figure.
