51 44 011 Removing and installing/replacing headliner (with slide/tilt sunroof)
Necessary Preliminary Tasks:
- Remove both front seats. Refer to 52 13 000 REMOVING AND INSTALLING DRIVER'S OR FRONT PASSENGER SEAT (NORMAL / MANUAL) .
- Remove both trims for roof pillars (A-pillar) at front. Refer to 51 43 201 REMOVING AND INSTALLING OR REPLACING TRIM FOR FRONT LEFT OR RIGHT ROOF ('A' POST) .
- Remove both panels for door pillars (top). Refer to 51 43 148 REMOVING AND INSTALLING OR REPLACING TRIM ON LEFT OR RIGHT DOOR PILLAR (TOP) .
- Remove both panels for roof pillars at rear. Refer to 51 43 251 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING TRIM FOR REAR LEFT OR RIGHT ROOF PILLAR (C-PILLAR) .
- Remove interior rear-view mirror. Refer to 51 16 060 REMOVING AND INSTALLING OR REPLACING INTERIOR REAR-VIEW MIRROR. .
- Remove both sun visors and counter-supports. Refer to 51 16 080 REMOVING AND INSTALLING OR REPLACING SUNVISOR AND LEFT OR RIGHT COUNTER SUPPORT .
- Remove clock. Refer to 62 13 050 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING CLOCK .
- Remove front roofliner trim. Refer to 51 44 152 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING SUNROOF FINISHER - FRONT .
- Remove rear roofliner trim. Refer to 51 44 156 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING SUNROOF FINISHER - REAR .
- Remove complete ceiling light. Refer to 63 31 000 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING COMPLETE CEILING LIGHT .
- Remove both rear grab handles. Refer to 51 16 450 REMOVING AND INSTALLING OR REPLACING REAR GRAB HANDLE .
- Remove ultrasonic module. Refer to 65 75 565 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING ULTRASOUND MODULE .
IMPORTANT:
Two persons are needed to remove the roofliner from the car.
Detach roofliner and remove through passenger door.
