61 31 011 Removing and installing/replacing volute spring cassette

Necessary Preliminary Tasks: 

• Remove fixture for steering column stalk. Refer to 61 31 006 REMOVING AND INSTALLING (REPLACING) FIXTURE FOR STEERING COLUMN STALK .

Expand catches (1) and remove volute spring cassette (2) from fixture for steering column switch (3).

Replacement: 

Break off turning lock (1) of new volute spring cassette (2).
