Removal & Installation
- Remove brake master cylinder. See MASTER CYLINDER . Remove center console storage tray. See CENTER CONSOLE STORAGE TRAY . Remove both windshield wiper arms. Bleed brake system. Remove locking clip and pull out pin. Remove nuts. See Fig 1. Remove nut and coolant expansion tank. Remove nuts and steering fluid reservoir. See Fig 2. Remove bolts, nuts and remove brake booster bracket. See Fig 3. Remove retaining clip. Remove fuel line from retaining clip.
- Remove engine compartment seal and remove partition wall. See Fig 4. Detach brake lines from hydraulic unit to brake master cylinder. See Fig 5. Unfasten screws. Release nut and push complete wiper console to one side. See Fig 6. Disconnect negative lead. Carefully pull brake booster out of bulkhead. See Fig 7. Swivel brake booster upwards and remove. Do not use any force when removing and installing the brake unit, as it can be damaged under certain circumstances. To install, reverse removal procedure. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
