51 24 300 Removing and installing / replacing left or right gas pressure prop from trunk lid (Tailgate)
Open tailgate.
WARNING:
Support tailgate in the fully open position using a suitable prop. Risk of injury.
Note orientation of gas pressure prop(s) prior to removal.
Slide retaining spring (1) downwards and release gas pressure prop (2) from body bracket.
Slide retaining spring (1) upwards and remove gas pressure prop (2) from tailgate bracket.
