51 43 251 Removing and installing/replacing trim for rear left or right roof pillar (C-pillar)

WARNING: Vehicles with head airbags: Read and comply with safety regulations for working on vehicles with airbag systems, refer to 51 00 ... SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR WORKING ON CARS WITH AIRBAG SYSTEMS .

IMPORTANT: Do not use any sharp-edged tools to remove the trim (risk of damage to head airbag).

Remove screw securing seat belt anchor plate.

Tightening torque, (40 N.m.).

Unclip and remove C-pillar trim.

Installation:

Make sure rear lid seal is correctly seated.

Vehicles with head airbags:

Cut through retaining bar and remove trim.

Remove clips from body.

Dispose of trim and clips.

Feed out strap (1) and remove trim (2).
