51 14 110 Removing and installing/replacing rear model designation

NOTE:

For Special Tool identification, see MAINTENANCE AND GENERAL INFORMATION - SPECIAL - COOPER (1.6L) R50/W10 .

Special Tools Required: 

NOTE: The model designation is secured with adhesive tape and is not reusable. The model designation must be fitted at room temperature. In the case of a stove-enamel finish, the model designation must be removed at temperatures exceeding 80° C.

Carefully heat the badge containing the model designation with a hot air blower.

Use special tool 00 9 322 when removing the model designation.

Installation: 

Adhesive tape and residue must be removed prior to fitting.

Measure position of model designation in accordance with following instructions.

Detach back of protective film from model designation.

Secure model designation at the point marked beforehand.

Press down ALL letters/numbers of model designation firmly to ensure good adhesion.

Detach front of protective film from model designation.

NOTE: The COOPER S model designation must be aligned in the same way as the COOPER model designation. The 'S' is held is the correct place by the protective film.

Fitting Dimensions: 

Observe the following dimensions when attaching the model designation:

Dimension in mm:

MINI ONE:

1 = 194, 2 = 63.

MINI COOPER and COOPER S:

1 = 194, 2 = 48.
