Spindle Carrier: Removal

  1. Remove front wheels. Raise and support vehicle. Remove brake caliper. Suspend caliper using wire. The hub and rotor are factory matched and balanced. Make sure hub and rotor are index marked BEFORE removing rotor from hub.
  2. Remove rotor retaining clip and rotor. Remove tie rod castle nut and cotter pin. Separate tie rod from control arm, using Tie Rod Remover (T85M-3395-A). Remove ball joint castle nut and cotter pin.
  3. Remove strut assembly pinch bolt. Insert Spindle Carrier Lever (T85M-3206-A) into slot in spindle carrier. Rotate spindle carrier lever 90 degrees to open slot. Remove spindle carrier.
