Oil Pan: Installation

  1. Clean all gasket mating surfaces. Apply an even coat of adhesive on oil pan side of gaskets. Place gaskets on oil pan and allow to dry past wet stage. Apply sealer to seam at front engine cover-to-engine block. Install front saddle seal on front engine cover.
  2. Install rear saddle seal on rear main bearing cap. Apply sealer to seam between engine block and rear main bearing cap. Apply sealer to corners of front and rear saddle seal. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure. Tighten bolt/nuts to specifications.
