Intake Manifold: Installation

Thoroughly clean all gasket mating surfaces and replace gaskets. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure. Tighten all bolts/nuts in proper sequence and to specifications. See Fig 1. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  table at end of this article.

1. Thoroughly clean and check gasket mating surfaces and replace all gaskets. Surfaces must be flat and smooth. Position lower intake manifold and install 4 upper bolts finger tight. Install 4 lower bolts finger tight. Tighten bolts in sequence and to 12-15 ft. lbs. (16-20 N.m). See Figure.
2. Reverse removal procedure to complete installation. Tighten all bolts/nuts to specifications. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  table at end of article.
