Camshaft End Thrust: Notes

Using large screwdriver between camshaft sprocket and cylinder head, measure camshaft end thrust. Replace thrust plate at rear of cylinder head if end play is too great. Standard is .001-.007" (.025-.178 mm); service limit is .009" (.229 mm).
